Handed down from generation to generation, Arthus-Bertrand has continued to develop and refine its know-how. From military embroidery and ceremonial flags, it has gradually branched out into the design and manufacture of military and civilian badges, decorations, medals, as well as numerous orders and merits.
All these achievements reveal the multi-faceted talents of a company that, in the early 20th century, decided to apply its skills to the creation of jewellery: christening medals, based predominantly on works of the Italian Renaissance.
Engraved with the figure of a saint or a pious symbol, supplemented with inscriptions and sometimes adorned with diamonds or precious gemstones, these tokens of affection can now be seen side-by-side with marks of distinction.
