Medals, crosses, baby’s identity bracelets and other jewellery items for children in the ‘Birth, christening, communion’ range cover a plethora of themes, religious or secular, thereby offering a vast choice of gifts to celebrate a birth, christening, communion, confirmation, barmitsvah, birthday, or wedding...

Each item of jewellery is crafted in our French workshops with utmost care:
- blanked in yellow or white gold, polished to a sheen
  or matt, it can be set with stones or paved with diamonds
- engraved in semi-precious stones (amethyst, smoky quartz) or natural mother of pearl
  and delicately set in yellow or white gold
- crafted in enamel

Each medal or birth jewel may, on demand, be engraved with a date, a first name, and/or message and therefore represent a token of affection for the new-born, for whom it will be a perpetual keepsake.
In a manner peculiar to Arthus-Bertrand, the themes featured on its religious medals are generally borrowed from a rich iconography and fashioned by renowned sculptors whose talents lie in expressing the emotion of the original piece in precious materials. The world’s greatest artists, especially those of the Renaissance era, such as Fra Lippi, Fra Angelico, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael, have helped make the Arthus-Bertrand collections a unique creative entity, embracing artistic and cultural themes inspired by religious sentiment.

Today, Maison Arthus-Bertrand has extended its collection to include birth medals, creating a whole host of subjects combining modernity with the high art of traditional medal design.
